2020 – 2024
"Terra Salis" investigates a landscape shaped for decades by potash mining. The work is structured in three layers: what is visible above ground (the salt heap, its presence in the region, the industrial infrastructure); what remains hidden underground (geological strata, landfills, salt minerals); and an intermediate layer that connects the two, where traces surface in the form of contaminated waters, salt-tolerant plants, and new formations of landscape. The project asks how landscape is shaped through planning, use, and industrial appropriation, and what becomes of common notions of nature in the process.
