Anna Bergold lebt in Kassel und beschäftigt sich in ihren fotografischen Beobachtungen mit der Lebenswelt ruraler Gebiete. Mit ihrer Kamera erforscht sie den Wandel des Landschaftsraumes und die Spuren menschlichen Eingreifens in die Natur. Ihr spezielles Augenmerk gilt dabei sowohl der Präsenz von Industrie und deren Auswirkungen im Landschaftsbild, als auch den Veränderungen und Umgestaltungen natürlicher Lebensräume, zum Beispiel durch landwirtschaftliche Nutzung, den Tagebau, oder auch durch Großprojekte wie den Neubau einer Autobahn. Dabei faszinieren sie die Gegensätze von natürlichen und artifiziellen Elementen in der Landschaft ebenso, wie die verschiedenen Schichten der Landschaft, die sie mit ihrer Kamera künstlerisch offen legt.
Anna Bergold lives in Kassel and her photographic observations deals with the living environment of rural areas. With her camera she explores the changes in the landscape and the traces of human intervention in nature. She pays special attention to the presence of industry and its effects on the landscape, as well as to the changes and transformations of natural habitats, for example through agricultural use, open-cast mining, or large-scale projects such as the construction of a new highway. She is fascinated by the contrasts between natural and artificial elements in the landscape, as well as the various layers of the landscape, which she artistically reveals with her camera.
